Anyone into NHL 10? I wanted to get a small league going and I was thinking this is one of the perfect places to set it up, with my fellow Blueshirt fans. Use this thread to find a team (EASHL) or if we get enough responses I could set up a league starting with me and my brother.

As soon as its in the budget, I will pick it up and play with you guys. I’m not very good at it, but it would be fun just to mix it up with everyone.
By the way, my gamertag is “Darth Poobah”, and when I have spare time I can often be found being very obnoxious on Halo 3

Depends
Depends on what we do going forward. If I do set a league up it will be relatively small and it wont be for at least a week or so from now (test time in colleges, but most importantly for me).

Damn, my 360 broke shortly after I bought this game, I got alot to prove to some of the old boys after being in the top 500 for the final 2 months of the 07-08 season in 08. Hopefully I’ll get it fixed soon to put my info on this. Rangers and as much as I don’t like Philly they got a hell of a team every year in these games.

So is anyone else starting to get frustrated with the boards play?
I keep going in to take someone on the boards and end up starting a fight by accident. Gaborik would probably be leading the league in penalty minutes at this point.
Also, the crazy tic tac toe passing the computer does in the neutral zone is bothersome. Realistic, they could just stay there and wait out the entire game because you’re not fast enough to get up on them and they never miss their passes.

I had trouble with that early on too, but now I’ve just realized that a tap of the Y button anywhere near the boards makes them go to board play just as quick as holding it from a distance.
As for the computer, I hate playing them. I usually win but Id rather play another human who is more creative. Practicing shootout/breakaway dekes on the computer is good as the goalies are tough to beat.
Update on the XBOX league situation for everyone: Like I said, I have a busy week schoolwork wise, so towards the end of the week I will probably set up another thread to confirm interest. We have sixteen XBOX players on the list right now, and I think that would be a good number for a league. I’m thinking one or two games per week, and I just have to look into the process a little more.

Yeah, I haven't figured out break aways.
Basically, I’m just playing with one timers/tip ins.
I find a lot of shots from the point go in if you aim top corner.
