Not sure who the Fs were on the line but Gilroy pinched and didn’t get support. The other D didn’t rotate to the middle of the ice either. Poor all around but Gilroy made the glaring mistake.

1st Intermission
Okay, shaky start but the Boys got it together at the end of the period. Parenteau fighting for a roster spot with a goal like that, and Higgy made a nice play. That’s a play that won’t show up on the scoresheet but it’s a nice play nonetheless. Staalsy with a post at the end and nice pressure. Tighten up on D, Redden make less mistakes, and come out strong in the 2nd period for once! Let’s do this boys!

They played better, although I think the Rangers won the past 5 minutes, it hasn’t been by a big margin. If they want to score, they need to play with more desperation.

I wanna see Lundqvist make a gorgeous glove save, then start rushing up the ice, catching every Islander flat-footed and confused. The Ranger players catch on instantaneously and join the rush, creating a 6-On-2 odd man rush. Just as Lunqvist reaches the red line, he dishes it off to MDZ, and they gain the zone. The 2 Islanders on D start soiling themselves in a mix between panic and fascination. MDZ dishes it off to Cally, who goes across the slot and drops the puck back to Kotalik who unleashes a Howitzer of a slapshot that destroys Roloson’s mask and trickles across the goal line. The refs all crap their pants and award the Rangers 3 goals for the awe-inspiring event that just unfolded in front of their eyes.
