Oh nm...
Rutgers….
Yea, I didn’t see Cuse showing up today.
I gotta say tho, from the 3-4 games I’ve seen of Rutgers this year, you guys are gonna have a nice team the next few seasons.

I was pretty optimistic until I read Jim’s preview. Looks like we could get smoked tonight. I’m still hoping our guys show up with the thunder.
there is always reason for optimism, I just think some people thought all the Rangers had to do was bring their sticks on the ice to win this one, but Florida is playing well

Well
Florida gives up a ton of shots (nearly 35 a game). So there will be chances to get some players going today.

Panthers have horrible special teams
which means Fla is real good at even strength. They are rarely outworked. Rangers better match the intensity

A couple Ranger d-men have made nice plays by diving on the ice to take away a passing lane, when was the last time Redden or Rozy did that?
That was a real nice dive infront of the net to break up the pass from Weiss.
But I know the odds are stacked against you, but that was a piss poor effort by Girardi on the 2-1
yeah that was basically a 2 on 0 after that play by girardi. my point is when was the last time redden or rozy went down like that to take away a passing lane or block a shot

Vokoun made a few nice stops too
give him credit..
But it probably should be tied….0-0

well, we had the Tortorella version the other day, he said “it’s too early to look at the standings”, to which I replied, “That’s what the last place team always says”

Here's the easy recap
Team sucked for 2 1/2 periods.
1st line does all the work.
Kotalik can’t backcheck.
Rozsival so not bad that even Rosen noticed he’s not bad.
We miss Drury and Dubinsky alot more than anyone wanted to give them credit for.
That’s about it.

I can't take this anymore.
I don’t know what needs to give, but the lack of creativity (offensively), discipline (defensive coverage), and straight up heady play is killing me. If not for King Henrik, this would’ve been a 5-2 game.
I find it hard to believe Drury (who has looked lost from his first day here) and Dubinsky (akin to Anisimov has no puck control) are the problems.
I’m not a fan of firing coaches this early in the season, but – on paper – this a solid team. There’s simply no excuse for this awful play. If I wasn’t paying $2 per game (off the NHL PPV package), I’d turn this crap off until remedied.
On a happier note, if any of you is down my way (Tampa) for this week’s game, please drop me a line. I’d love to grab a beer with a fellow BB’er.
