Blueshirt Banter Radio, Bernie Nicholls, and those planning on attending tomorrow night's game
Just wanted to give you guys a few quick updates for what is going on the next two days:
Tonight on Blueshirt Banter Radio, our guest will be former Ranger Bernie Nicholls. Bernie was with the Rangers in the early 90's, and before that he had some terrific years with the Kings. We'll talk to Bernie about his career, and what he is doing nowadays. Bernie was always a pretty outspoken guy, it should be interesting to hear what he has to say tonight.
Tomorrow night, anyone that is attending the Rangers-Panthers game in South Florida, we will be tailgating in the Lexus parking lot at Bank Atlantic Center, somewhere near the D55 section, which is centrally located. Make sure you stop by and say hi, look for the sweet looking Blueshirt Banter poster hanging up.
Blueshirt Banter Radio will also be doing a special pregame show tomorrow night, Mouth will be hosting and I will be checking in from the tailgate. The show starts at 5.
As always, you can listen to the show right here, or click the link above for our radio page and take part in our chat room. Don't forget, we'll be taking your calls at 646-478-4692

I remember not being particularly happy when the Rangers traded homegrown product Tomas Sandstrom and Tony Granato to the LAK for Bernie. Within a few games he’d won me over, and the next season (his only full year in NY) I was a big fan.
Then they traded him away – after I believe it was one game of the following season. I was like “WTF??” I was sad to see him go – but things ended up working out in strange ways….

Yeah he had kind of an odd career, 150 points in LA, traded the next season, 130 points in 104 games for the Rangers, traded. I liked Bernie, I’m looking forward to talking to him

Liked him as a Ranger. Unfortunately what I’ll always remember him for was deliberately firing the puck at a prone Kovalev’s head after a whistle during the ‘94 semi’s. Alas.

Good question. I may have to call in to the radio show and ask that….

Bernie Nicholls
I can honestly say, with no disrespect to all the great guests we’ve had on, that Bernie has to be the best guest we’ve ever had. He was entertaining, and was totally down for some good old fashioned ball busting with Mouth and I. If you haven’t heard it yet, give it a listen.

Of the guests I’ve listened to, I have to agree. Bernie was entertaining, and sure knew how to ‘jerk your chain(s)’ ! ;-)
I could’ve done without the Phone Spam thing though…..
Now – since I didn’t get to call in, inquiring minds do want to know – what exactly does this mean??

Yes, very curious as to what that means :) when I used to play badminton ( don’t laugh at me lol) I used to spike the birdie hard and try to hit the other person with it, usually in the face (it doesnt hurt lol)…but I can’t see how that can be done with a puck hahaha
