lol, well I’m only making it cause I fell asleep at 7:30 while my boys tore the house apart. Now wide awake.

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 10:34 PM EST up reply actions

why did you fall asleep at 7:30?

Blueshirt Banter: Covering the New York Rangers the only NHL team with three home arenas.

Always up early, usually by 5:30 but more importantly a couple of afternoon beers…

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 10:45 PM EST up reply actions

why in the holy hell do you wake up at 5:30 am?

If I had $1 for everytime I was asked that...

5:30 is sleeping in. 4:30-5:00 is normal. I’m a contractor in NYC. Crews start at 7:00, phone starts ringing at 6:15.

NO toughness

This is a surprisingly weak team. Glencrosse should have been roughed up for that hit on Drury.

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 10:28 PM EST reply actions

The truth is we are a soft team.

They should have all went after that guy for drury. Avery’s problem is now they’re busy playing him instead of hating him.

I wish we had TooToo

He knocks out guys and asks them if they wanted to fight afterwards…

yay

Better chances

Better hits, tougher forecheck by Calgary but better scoring chances by NYR.. Agreed???

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 10:54 PM EST reply actions

I wish we had ORR back

at least he watched over every body. Hank gets run over. Drury gets blindsided. That was an elbow to the face.

by Toad McGee on Nov 7, 2009 10:59 PM EST reply actions

might have to agree

A lot was said about Brashear’s offense as opposed to Orr, but I still don’t understand paying $400K more for Brashear and now he’s out. Even when he was here other teams took liberties and weren’t punished. I agree, Orr was a real enforcer. This crap didn’t happen with this regularity the last few years.

i cant believe they didnt call anything on glencross…the ref was looking right at it

by b4mv01 on Nov 7, 2009 11:08 PM EST reply actions

to be fair

the linesman was looking right at it and they dont make that call.

Kyle McLaren

is he still injured, and is he still available?

by RangerFanFTW on Nov 7, 2009 11:12 PM EST reply actions

Avery

Hasn’t had much ice time, but he also hasn’t gotten involved in several games. No talking, no after whistle stuff, no irritating behavior that we love hom for.

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 11:14 PM EST reply actions

When was the last time Avery “inadvertantly” bumped a goalie???

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 11:21 PM EST up reply actions

IF I was MGMT

I would think its time to figure out whats working and whats not. For example, Avery needs to be let do his thing. Why have Avery on your team to not to have avery? If we lose a game or two because of some stupid penlty it worth it because we’ll get a lot more back in return. That is what he proved to us in the past. The fourth line should be filled with mean toothless goons. Not just goons who are old and washed up like brash or voros who can’t fight. Did you see that shove on dubi in the warmups? He should have went after that guy as soon as the pcuke dropped. The Fonz should have been on fire calling for a drury penlty. I think it all boils down to a fire in our time. If their is no fire we’ll just fall back to the team we were last year that watched other teams beat us.

by Toad McGee on Nov 7, 2009 11:14 PM EST reply actions

is there anyone in Hartford who can throw a fething bodycheck?

by RangerFanFTW on Nov 7, 2009 11:25 PM EST reply actions

I think Dupont was a tough kid, but not sure he’s what your looking for. They do have a 6’6" or 6’7" , 260lb defensemen. Not sure either of these guys is NHL worthy though

by NYdemo on Nov 7, 2009 11:29 PM EST up reply actions

A clean version of Glencross maybe? or a d-man who can pound a player in the corner

by RangerFanFTW on Nov 7, 2009 11:31 PM EST reply actions

i was watching fedor knock brett rogers the f-out.

by Michael Gleich on Nov 7, 2009 11:35 PM EST reply actions

wtf

hiow can they call that high stick late?

by RangerFanFTW on Nov 7, 2009 11:37 PM EST reply actions

and now they arent going to call the penalty they were going to call, what BS. at worst you call both.

by Michael Gleich on Nov 7, 2009 11:37 PM EST reply actions

There's the fire FONZ!

Seemed like a late call to me.. are they playing favorites or what???

by Toad McGee on Nov 7, 2009 11:37 PM EST reply actions

what amazes me the most

is that there was no team support after that… nobody really went after him. even through the game nobody threw a good hit on him.

by mfk on Nov 8, 2009 12:36 AM EST up reply actions

Valley always gets beat high..they know to do it

PLus I always see him drop down too much, like I believe I saw on the last goal he was on his knees.
