As our own 'mleetch' told us in the other thread, Steve Zipay twittered out that a source told him Brandon Dubinsky has a broken bone in his right hand, and will miss three weeks. Like mleetch also speculated, no way of knowing how it would effect his ability to take face-offs, so it could be even longer.

Chris Drury was experiencing concussion symptoms, but there were no issues with him flying, and was able to board the Rangers charter back to New York, according to Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants.

No call-ups yet, but I would expect that maybe after practice tomorrow, which is currently scheduled for 10 AM at the MSG Training Center.

Hopefully we will have updates on Henrik Lundqvist as well.

For those of you that haven't seen the hit on Drury yet, here is the video:

just took a quick look at the schedule and even if dubi could come back in 3 weeks which would be end of the month i would hold him out of that pitt game probably since we dont play after 11/30 until 12/5 so basically gives him another 5 days. also if he sat out that game vs buffalo on 12/5 and came back 12/6 then he would qualify for LTIR by being out 24 days and 10 games, which would aid us in the cap scenario’s. I do not know the rule on whether the Rangers have to declare something like that now or could do it later.

The Puck

Looked like Redden was about to move the puck to Drury, so I can understand the check. Hope he feels better soon. Looks like he was out cold for a bit there.

well i se the point were it looked like he was going to.

but he didnt and glencross had more than enough time.

also he hit him high and from behind.. which just adds cheapness to it.

glencross is a ******* and a * and a ******.. that is all

Yea, that pass was way behind Drury and Glengarry Glen Cross had more than enough time to pull off.

The Wolf Pack are on a tear right now after a slow start to their season; maybe they can bring some of that momentum with them when they get called up. Locke and PAP are among the league leaders in points and Grachev has found his game recently, scoring 4 points (2, 2) in his last two games.

send voros down, bench brash, call up pap and grachev, move aves or higgins to center, put the russians together like in preseason.

higgins-prospal-gabby
kotalik-aves-cally
grachev-AA-lisin
byers-boyle-pap
???

othwerwise call up locke and leave grachev down to continue developing and go w a hartford 4th line
higgins-prospal-gabby
lisin -AA-kotalik
aves-boyle-cally
byers-locke-PAP
could also swap higgins and lisin.

wouldn’t worry much about Brash, sounds like his recovery is very slow going, kinda like his skating.

well he was skating at practice this morning. While i dont usually listen to brooks cause i think he makes most of his stuff up he said this morning that Dubi could be out as long as 6 weeks and 4-6 makes more sense to me than the 3 week level.

sounds about right

Sticking up for teammates?

What really makes me sick about this hit is not the hit its self but the fact that only one Rangers player went to stick up for the captain. This not only sends a message to the team but it sends a message to other teams that they can go after our best players (ie: Lundquist, Drury, Gaborik). Torts really needs to instill this in his players if he wants to prevent this from happening again.
