Steroids to the Capitals?
Check out this NBC story. Apparently, authorities have arrested a man who was running a large steroid business. He claims to have sold steroids to athletes on, among other teams, the Capitals. Interesting considering who it might implicate....
Also makes you wonder about the exodus of veteran Capitals. In the last few days, Sergei Federov and Victor Kozlov have bailed the US for the Russia KHL with rumors that infamous Donald Brashear might follow.
Guess we won't know for sure until he publishes his tell all book.

Interesting story.
This is quite an interesting development as there has not been much talk of steroids in the NHL, save the Sean Hill situation last season. One would think it could help mend injuries, increase endurance (workout and skating), and maybe add velocity to a shot(?). I could definitely understand if some NHLers were busted by this since the league doesn’t necessary have anywhere near the size or amounts of scandals as MLB.
I really don’t think Fedorov and Kozlov signing in the KHL should warrant finger pointing. Some 40% of the players in the league are free agents this offseason, meaning there is less money available for aging veterans – especially those like Kozlov and Fedorov who were paid handsomely last year. Also, both of these players were toward the tail end of their respective careers and returning home to Russia to finish it out seems pretty logical.

Oh, you're probably totally right
But it’s our offseason so I’m doing a little rumormongering. :)
The Caps have officially come out with their statement concerning the allegations. Nothing interesting, pretty much everything you’d expect them to say.
