Thanks to 2 goals by Maxime Talbot, the Penguins rallied back from down 3-2 in the series to defeat the Detroit Red Wings and win the Stanley Cup tonight at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The Red Wings got a late goal from Jonathan Ericsson, but were unable to tie it up.

Head on over to Pensburgh to congratulate those guys, and be sure and console the losing team at Winging It In Motown

A great series by both teams, culminating with everything a Game 7 should be.

Sidney Crosby became the youngest Captain to hoist the Cup, and the Conn Smythe went to Evgeni Malkin,

Let the off-season officially begin.

Let's Go Rangers!

Jim

Im Happy for Bill Guerin and Mario Lemieux

And I bet Marian Hossa feels like a jack@ss.
Other then that, dissapointment.

Lopez wants it away, and it's hit deep to left center, Andruw Jones on the run, this one has a chance... home run!!, Mike Piazza!, and the Mets lead 3 to 2!!

As we speak, Glen Sather is, well, he’s probably sleeping. But as soon as he wakes up, he’s going to prepare a 5-yr, $84 million contract for Marian Hossa. He’s just the type of proven playoff performer the NYR needs to get the Cup!!

Glen Sather is a Hockey Genius.

Really?

He’s just the performer the Rangers need for a Stanley Cup? Isn’t that what Detroit did and they had him and LOST to the Pens? He didn’t make a difference in the finals. He didn’t score a single goal, had a couple of assists. Yeah I know he’s Marian Hossa but your not going to spend 84 million on one person who didn’t even win a Stanley Cup yet.

sorry, can’t be happy for the penguins or that franchise. seeing crosby with the cup next to bettman is just too much

it amazes me that Gary Bettman still comes out to hand out the Cup. Even if its his right, why would you want the Biggest Moment of the Hockey Season to be shown on national TV with a chorus of boos?

The only time I don’t think he got booed was in 94 at the Garden, Ranger fans were too euphoric to think about booing him

No night spent pantsless is a wasted night.

Who cares...

if it isn’t Ranger Hockey I’m not sweating it peeps. I’m back to hate mode again.

If the Rangers hadn't won the Stanley Cup in 1994 , I would be in a EFFIN rubber room by now
