Home stands vs road trips

Anyone notice the nice 6 game road trip right before seasons end? That’ll be interesting if the rangers are fighting for a playoff spot.
also the rangers longest home stand is 3 games.

Another Flyers Home & Home to end the season….god damn it I hate the Flyers.

Moose 7 of the last 9 on the road, that could make or break them.

I dont mind that 6 game road stint, 2 of those games are in NY and the other is in Jersey. Also I don’t think Tampa is going to fair much better this year but it’s too early to tell.

still when you couple that with the fact that its 6 road games in 11 days, its rough

True, I’m just trying to make the best of a pretty challenging situation, I think we can get out of that stint with a good record. As long as we don’t look fatigued going into the postseason assuming we get there healthy.

Gaborik will make his debut in MSG the night after playing the Penguins in the opener. Open against the young cup winners and then come back to MSG to see a tired Gaborik. Hopefully he’ll still be healthy. =P

Okay, that joke was in poor taste. But yeah again KingHenrik, a Home & Home against the Flyers to close the season. Probably not going to be another short handed goal from Dubi to make everyone go crazy, or an Avery-to-Hartnell punch in the face, but we’ll see.

And with the league shut down for 2 weeks for the Olympics, they are playing almost every other night, none of those 3 or 4 day stretches off, at least none that I have seen yet

Well at least we do not open in Prauge, Czech Republic

Lopez wants it away, and it's hit deep to left center, Andruw Jones on the run, this one has a chance... home run!!, Mike Piazza!, and the Mets lead 3 to 2!!

true....

but that actually turned out to be a good thing for them last year. The rangers came out of the gate on fire, then zherdev dubinsky and voros (especially voros) stopped scoring at an alarming rate.

new year, new hope.

It can't be impossible

for us to play every team at least once. Don’t get me wrong, I do like beating the shit out of the Islanders 5 times a year, but I’d like to see us play the Ducks. Anyone notice any other team that we don’t play all season?

Didn't last season end

with a long road trip. I like playing the home and home series, especially against division foes. Back in the Patrick Division days those back to back games were brutal games.

by nomore1940 on Jul 15, 2009 4:07 PM EDT reply actions

YES, last season ended the same way, too many road games including the finale at Philly. I wonder why they wouldn’t reverse that this year and have us finish with a home and home against Philly but in NY for the closer.

Atleast we can look forward to....
