Marian Gaborik Highlights: Get Ready Ranger Fans

Here is a pretty good highlight film someone put together of Marian Gaborik. Please God let this man stay healthy.

Blazing speed, rocket shot, pinpoint accuracy, Gaborik reminds me so much of Pavel Bure. His biggest asset is the ability to turn nothing into offense. Here’s hoping for a great few seasons from him.

Don't say that name....

lol, I know Bure was a lot older tho but you’re right.

I was actually about to post that same exact thing. He reminds me so much of pre-Rangers Bure it’s scary. I dont really care if he hangs out in the neutral zone all game like Bure did, we have 3 other lines of great defensive forwards. The only thing that worries me is that a line with Zherdev and Gaborik might as well be a 5 on 3 PP. If they’re on the ice with Redden and Rozi… dear god help us!

I think we NEED to have either Drury or Dubi centering that line just to make sure someone is getting back.

This guy makes it look so easy

Lots of breakaways there too.

I think some of us are worred about the wrong thing i.e. center.

He seems to just b-line toward the net after a shot.

The Rangers really don’t have all that great puck movers on the blueline, unless Gilroy is that dude or Staal takes another step forward (most likely)

Should we put a moratorium on the ‘stay healthy’ thing. Its getting old IMO and Id rather not jinx this dude.

Red Line?

Maybe its just the highlight reel, but it seems like he scores a disproportionate number of goals from hanging around the neutral zone. Does goal hanging fly on the East Coast? Great hands Breakaway speed + Nose for the net = 40 goals. If . . .

he tries hard…?

wow!!! at 2:39. burnned. but yeah lots of breakaways. obviously hes got the speed but he must also have some crazy anticipation. I guess some of that could be jaques lemaire but this could be very helpful to the rangers if we do find some puck moving defense.

and try hard?? the guy will always try hard. it’s a matter of if he’ll be healthy and he said himself that he would be.

That last goal was freaking sweet. How does he get so many break-aways?
