Rangers targeting Zubov?

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants says that Zubov's agent was talking to Glen Sather yesterday, and it may have been in regards to Zubov. Larry Brooks in the Post today also said Zubov may be a Ranger target

If...

its a one year contract then i say hell yes go for it. Give MDZ and Sangs one more year to develop and have them ready for next season

if it is for only one year to buy some kids (MDZ, McDonagh) another year to develop im all for that if Rozi is gone.

Zubov would be a short term solution while the kids get ready, and his power play ability would be welcome

Girardi...

if not paired with Redden can be a PP specialist. You all remember how well he did paired with Mara and when he got switched to pair with Redden, he stopped producing offensively cause he had to cover Redden’s ass the whole shift.

Yes on Zubov

If he takes a incentive based contract.
Zubov would be the Powerplay QB.
I have a feeling that he will stay healthy this year.

Lopez wants it away, and it's hit deep to left center, Andruw Jones on the run, this one has a chance... home run!!, Mike Piazza!, and the Mets lead 3 to 2!!

O M G

Seriously guys?

Yes Yes Yes on Zubov?! Are you kidding me?

Yeah, lets get Koivu and Zubov, combined age of 62. Are you out of your mind? What is this BS? I coulda swore Sather said we were gonna go the youth road yet we are talking to these two old farts? I’m so sick of this. It’s the same shyt every damn year, when are we going to learn?

By all means, lets not follow the footsteps of the Pens, RWings and Devs who develop the talent and win championships. We’re not going to ever win a cup as long as Sather is running this team, mark my words.

can someone please take Redden? Common sather work your magic and trade him for Frolov

I personally do like the idea of bringing back Zubov to skate 55-65 games in 2009-2010 while the younger biys develop in Hartford.
