thats what i would do. maybe r&r 3rd if they keep the poor play up

GOAL!!

ITS A POWER PLAY GOAL!!

what a nice set up by del zotto. and a great snipe by kotalik.

and yeah, i love staals sound defense paired with gilroys offensive skil. girardi can play both offensive or defensive.

girardi could play with redden/rozi.

and voros is really earning his 4th line spot. that line of brashear – boyle – voros looks very good together.

i thik our lines are pretty set right now.

by Moshe52792 on Sep 19, 2009 4:23 PM EDT reply actions

yeah

so staal girardi r and r and potter are set..

than who.. semenov? potter? mdz? sangs? hikkanen?

more sad

yeah i like semenov there.. i like potter, but i think we need that tough vet with some grit…

and i wouldnt have though mdz before preseason started.. i would have said potter, but mdz has been very impressive.. plus we cna keep him for 9 games, andif hes not ready than we can send him downa nd bring up potter, which is fine too..

and yeah i like the forwards.. the line ups too.. dubi matches up better with cally and avery.. and anisimov matches up much better with prospal and gaborik..

and i like the 4th line with voros, especialyl when we play a tough team like philly..

and let grachev be the first call up if someones not playing to their potential or someone gets injured…

and if we keep 23, maybe parenteau makes it too..

Ok help me out here guys

Right now, there are 34 players on the roster, Owens, Locke and Byers are being returned to Hartford after this game, so the Rangers will make 7 or 8 cuts after this game, based on Torts saying he wanted to scale down to 23? Do I have this right?

I kinda wish Tortorella would roll 4 lines like:

Avery-Prospal-Gaborik
Higgins-Drury—Kotalik
Boyle-Dubinksy-Callahan
Grachev – Anisimov – Lisin

scratch Brashear and Voros and go to town.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but it’d be fun to watch teams try to match up against all 4 of those lines.
