Reading a Interview from Torts

Said that Anisomiv and Grac would benefit more from playing in Hartfrod than the 4th line. Also said that Prospal is playing Center and might move Dubi to the Left Wing.

by Poe678 on Sep 21, 2009 7:23 PM EDT up reply actions

and that right there answers ur question. if prospal or dubi move to wing then artie is the 3rd line center. grachev goes down though.

Staal and Dubi looking classy up in the box. Is there any way we can just leave Rozsival and Redden up there?

well redden isnt up there to leave him there.

by Michael Gleich on Sep 21, 2009 8:49 PM EDT up reply actions

He’s actually looked a lot better than in any of the other games.

Del Zotto and Gilroy

both leading the team with Time On Ice.

Primary Observation/Question after 2 periods:

Anyone missing Rozsival??

He’d better step it up the rest of the preseason…..or he may find himself going SWE….

you know… that guy, who blows his nose with Benjamins.

I would like to see some more possession like in the first period to close out this game

Sounds like he’s a shoe in for #6 according to Torts

by Rob L on Sep 21, 2009 8:53 PM EDT reply actions

torts already called semenov the 7 so its down to sangs and mdz for 6

if any coach has the balls to do it its torts

by Michael Gleich on Sep 21, 2009 9:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Redden’s looked better than Rozi….

….which is actually a very very scary thought

by dbmaven on Sep 21, 2009 9:04 PM EDT up reply actions

And Semenov looks better than in any other game

by dbmaven on Sep 21, 2009 9:07 PM EDT reply actions

Whoa. Higgins takes down Franzen ! Nice backcheck

by dbmaven on Sep 21, 2009 9:08 PM EDT reply actions

Redden and Rozi

Don’t fit Torts system, they need young D-men (like the ones we have) to implement the style of play he wants. Their to slow and old.

by Poe678 on Sep 21, 2009 9:08 PM EDT reply actions

Actually – Redden does fit – he’s used to a pressure system like this.
I actually think he’s going to have a decent season.

by dbmaven on Sep 21, 2009 9:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I can see Redden, but he was -3 one of the last games we played. Hopefully your right. I still think Rozi will be gone before the Deadline.

avery is good on the doorstep…maybe dubi if they do move prospal to the wing.

by Michael Gleich on Sep 21, 2009 9:19 PM EDT up reply actions

i think grachev deserves a spot but i dont see one there for him to have…i dont want him on the 4th line. 1st line in hartford is better for him and our future than 1st line here.

by Michael Gleich on Sep 21, 2009 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s going to be a very interesting season for him. He only has one year so he’s playing for a contract. at least we didn’t give him a 6+ year deal before he even stepped on the ice as a Ranger…

by Bkoz on Sep 21, 2009 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Gaborik should definitely be on the PK.

If I had to guess…..

Bobby Sags
Parenteau

eesh, that last one is going to be tough

that’s what i got…i still think its Grachev because i dont see a top 9 spot for him so rather have him down in hartford and first up if a top 9 gets hurt.

yeah

im pretty sure our team is…

prospal dubinsky gaborik
higgins drury kotalik
avery dubinsky callahan
brashear boyle voros lisin.. (these four theyll rotate based on who their playing)

and than i think mdz and semenov take the last spots on d..

sangs will be sent down.. its hard to send down grachev, but i rather him rackup a lot of ice time in the minors, than sit on the bench in the nhl..

and parenteau will most likely be sent down, unless torts chooses to keep 23, which i dont expect..

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

by LateralusRangers on Sep 21, 2009 9:49 PM EDT reply actions

Grachev can’t go to Hartford because he is only 19.

by Bkoz on Sep 22, 2009 2:18 AM EDT reply actions

Any player drafted out of Europe is not covered by the agreement between the AHL and CHL – they only have to meet the AHL minimum age requirement.

As a result, Grachev can play in the AHL.

DelZotto, being a North American, under age 20, and only having played in 3 major junior seasons, cannot play in the AHL (until the junior season completes – at which time he can join an AHL club).
