Pretty impressive numbers guys. SBNation was very reluctant to give me the Rangers site, they wanted to bring an existing blog on board. I can't thank you enough for helping me prove to them they did the right thing.

I expect a slow news day, I don't know if the Rangers are even practicing today, so we're going to take a day off, unless something breaks. Feel free to use the thread for whatever you guys want to talk about. If there is any Ranger related news, we'll have it for you.

Thanks again guys, you are the best.

Jim

Great Numbers

It is amazing how far this site has come. It is definitely one of the more well known among Ranger Fans. Today actually marks the one-year anniversary of when I began blogging on my site, and when I was invited to share my work with you guys, I was ecstatic.

And this is not all about the writers either, but rather about the dedicated readers/visitors. Great Job Everyone!

Definitely agree NYRB, I am so glad I found this site, and love all the components of it, from the stories to all the posters and even Jim or Joe kicking out the occasional troll.

A thank you and excellent job to everybody who make this site what it is.

anyone see a series of Ranger articles this morning…

Bruce Garroich, of the Ottawa Sun, is reporting that the time may have finally come for Wade Redden. I dont usually buy what he is selling cause the Sun usually makes up a lot of what it “reports,” but maybe there is a relationship there because of Redden’s time in Ottawa or I am just really hoping it is true. lol

Also Brooks says the Rangers want Stepan to stay at Wisconsin another year, i think it would be a waste, but want to sign McDonagh after the year. I think Stepan is ready, but at worst he would probably gain more playing against adults in the AHL.

Wow I really hope the Ottawa Sun is right about that, cause that would be a good excuse for me to throw a party.

I remember

I don’t know how I discovered this site but I’m so glad I did. I was looking for an alternative to Blueshirt Banter which last summer just constantly pimped their premium service and didn’t give any real content. I’m a reader of Hockey Rodent but it lacks the personal flair of this blog. So glad I found it, thank you guys.

You mean Blueshirts United?

by Kritikal on Jan 10, 2010 3:25 PM EST up reply actions

yea, i think he meant United which is constantly pimped by MSG.

by Michael Gleich on Jan 10, 2010 3:33 PM EST up reply actions

pimped, as in by Dolan to find another revenue source. How many retards actually shell out money for a “premium” fan site? Do they even offer anything more than what we could get here? Perhaps if it included discounts or advanced access to gear or tickets, it could be worth it. How much are they charging for it anyway?

by Kritikal on Jan 10, 2010 4:24 PM EST up reply actions

i think it’s like 50 bucks if i remember correctly from msg.

by Michael Gleich on Jan 10, 2010 4:42 PM EST up reply actions

why thank you

we’re not huge fans of Blueshirts United, you shouldn’t have to pay to be a fan

woops sorry

not banter…I meant Blueshirt Bulletin actually…the place got annoying. Blueshirt United looked pretty, but that was about it. In a way tho, those annoying sites are the reason why Blueshirt Banter became my number 1 stop every morning…it’s real stuff, from real passionate fans…and the community here is great.

I know Im a newbie

but i just wanted to thank the fellas who keep this site up and running, and I am on the site everyday checking up on roster updates and postgame commentary. This has become my primary, and only, Rangers site because of the great format and friendly and knowledgeable fans that comment. and now that i know the posters are being recognized for their contributions to the site, i better step my game up and get onto that list somehow! :)
