They’re trying to get Emery back into the groove after missing so much time with his injury.
It’s not really clear that Leighton has been a lot better than Emery, as Ray was playing great before getting hurt. Leighton kinda came back to earth last week against Toronto anyway.

Were getting too involved with them, we should draw penalties not take them. there a very dirty team, led by example (high hitting richards)
my guess is HIggins missing the net.

i understand wanting the points, but someone needs to go after carcillo before the night is over regardless of the score.
well they have let people go after lundqvist before. you cant leave it out there for the league to see that they can go after ur superstar offensive player with their enforcer and nothing happens to defend him.

An open letter to Scott Hartnell
If you wanna be a tough guy, and play gritty and mix it up lose the visor. A best case scenerio for you is a horrible facial injury that calls for plastic surgery. In the meantime, please adhere to hockey ettiquite and remove your helmet before getting in a fight. Way to go Avery!
wow this sucks. prepare for a long, long 3rd.

why didnt he ask about his fight with gabby? lol.
by Michael Gleich on Jan 21, 2010 8:40 PM EST up reply actions
agreed, were intimidated by this team and get into stupid plays and penalties instead of blowing them out of the water like we should.

we’ve played right into their hands with all this nonsense, we were red hot, no need to play their game

If you go over to the Flyers thread, broadstreethockey.com, they have definitive photographic evidence Gaborik punched Carcillo first with his glove on.
Those guys are good at photoshop.
there’s the key…with his glove. it’s called a face wash scrum that they have all the time.

we are 2-1-1 in fights
avery beat the shit outta carcillo
voros kocked down asham
carcillo-gabby doesnt count
hartnell got avery but he didnt have a chance
LETS GO RANGERS!!!! SECTION 405!!!!!
i would say 2-0-2
hartnell should get dq’ed for fighting w a visor.
by Michael Gleich on Jan 21, 2010 9:05 PM EST up reply actions
Ok, I gotta step in and say that I am a Flyers fan and this has to be the stupidest post I have ever seen on an opponents boards. You’re not gonna count a fight because our tough guy beat your superstar, when your super star STARTED the fight?
Wow.
he didnt start it
i have dvr and watched it 5 times.. carcillo punched him with his glove on and gabby while looking down dropped his goves to protect himslef and fight.. you dumb fuck
LETS GO RANGERS!!!! SECTION 405!!!!!
Who drops their gloves to “protect” themselves? That’s like taking off your body armor in a war to be a smaller target.
he probably though carcillo had his off...
since that is what you do before you punch someone…you have downs fuckin syndrome if you dont realize that plus he was looking down so he didnt know carcillo had his gloves on and you are probbly just mad that avery beat the shit outta carcillo and voros scruffed asham
LETS GO RANGERS!!!! SECTION 405!!!!!
maybe this flyers fan is just mad because he has a baby dick
and he boyfreind is asking him to go through a tough procedure to get it enlarged
LETS GO RANGERS!!!! SECTION 405!!!!!

If these two teams make the playoffs and we beat the 2 seed and Philly beats the 1st seed, we’d have one bloody series on our hands
hockey doesnt work that way as they reseed, not brackets.
by Michael Gleich on Jan 21, 2010 9:13 PM EST up reply actions
Eh. Looks like Smurf was right.
We’re playing the entire game on the periphery, resorted to our old style of hapless offensive play. The Flyers are NOT this good.
"...also I'll brush my teeth and remember to turn off the stars at night and put the hyena out." ERNEST HEMINGWAY
So we put up 14 goals on the Montreal Dwarfs, and a tired lightning team yet when we play a real team, we can do a thing, what gives?
"and they're on their feet at the Garden"
See Smurf's comments about deviating toward the mean.
"...also I'll brush my teeth and remember to turn off the stars at night and put the hyena out." ERNEST HEMINGWAY
If we were backchecking him properly, he wouldn't have the chance to do so. :(
