The final tally for this game was a win for the New York Rangers, 16-15. The real story was something else. They lost 14-12 at even strength, despite trailing for the entire second half of the game. 8 of their 12 ES chances came after the game was already 4-0 in favor of the Colorado Avalanche. The line of Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, and Ryan Callahan was blanked for the first time this season, a sure sign that things did not go well for the team. All in all, this was a very forgettable game for many players, and fortunately they did just that last night.
