You have got to be kidding with the Avery scratch. Why is this guy Torts’ example of discipline most of the time?
I dont get it. So pissed.
by IAMARANGER16 on Mar 12, 2010 7:08 PM EST via mobile reply actions
how is he the example most of the time? he has been scratched once this year counting tonight. why they dont bench redden if they are sending a message is beyond me.
by Michael Gleich on Mar 12, 2010 7:10 PM EST up reply actions
You know torts has it out for him. Always gotta be the tough guy with Avery. That benching for game 4 last year was BS. Look at Averys minutes most nights. He plays him with nobody most of the time. Brian Boyle..ha
by IAMARANGER16 on Mar 12, 2010 7:12 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
im not saying he doesnt have it out for him, but he hasnt exactly been avery this year to say he is above a benching since his impact has been sporadic
by Michael Gleich on Mar 12, 2010 7:16 PM EST up reply actions
I didn’t see anything that warranted a benching either. No late penalty or anything. Plus, wasn’t it just a few games ago that Avery was on like a 3 game point streak. Anyone know what might have happened?
by WalkerNYRanger on Mar 12, 2010 7:14 PM EST up reply actions
well i think he only had 2 shifts in the 3rd.

by IAMARANGER16 on Mar 12, 2010 7:09 PM EST via mobile reply actions
Avery is fit for ny and this team. His half price bargain and 2 more years has him going nowhere before 2012.

No Avery. No playoff spot. No HD.

AZ, you saw the sharks game last night? what the heck happened to turn a 4-2 lead into an 8-5 loss in 15 min.
did the goalie collapse or were they good goals?
by Michael Gleich on Mar 12, 2010 7:35 PM EST up reply actions
Basically Dan Ellis folded… couldn’t stop anything, and it became the Joe Pavelski Show. Ellis looked like Valiquette v. Pens earlier this year. Shots were actually 34-11 In favor of Predators after 2 periods. I thought Trotz was going to explode when San Jose took the lead in the 3rd.
thanks, that’s a huge collapse considering the playoff fight they are in.

On a Torts team, lines 2-4 are all one amalgamation. Everybody is a 2nd liner, everyone is a 4th liner.

Exactly, especially for Torts who rides the hell out of his top players. I think that’s his downfall-he can’t operate a team where the talent (or lack thereof) is more spread out and he has to use 3-4 lines consistently.

WHERE IS THIS TEAM GOING
NOWHERE. Each win this team gets hurts their chances of getting a top pick. In case you did not notice, THIS TEAM IS CRAP, AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE CRAP unless the team adopts a different mindset.
Avery back in the lineup………….YIPPE what a difference!!!!
Your a punk, and a typical fan who would neglects the future and long term sucess of a team for a meaningless First round ticket elimination. Go party with Wade Redden, because your about as valuable as he is.

ALSO
The strength of this organization is its Farm System. THIS WAS A PERFECT opportunity for the Rangers to make an already strong farm system even better. Trading Prospal, Giriardi and co. while stocking up picks in the early rounds of the draft would put this team in a great position for the future. For it is OBVIOUS to any fan who has watched this team play, if it is to succeed in any way what so ever it will be in the future.
