Please fire Sather

As a Ranger fan as everyone knows we have been stuck with Glen Sather for the last 9 years and in my opinion he has been a major bust as our gm and president i am going to compare him to Ryan Leaf. that is how mad i am with Sather as most of us Ranger fans are. I am going to go through many of his awful free agent signings since he has been here which most of us know about but to hammer my point bout how much of a disaster he has been. First of all, he hires Bryan Trotter in 2002 after a 93 page application was filled out. Look how that turned out, he cut ties with Ranger Legends- Brian Leetch and Adam Graves and brought in such free agents- Eric Lindros, Jaromir Jagr, Bobby Holik and one of the worst ever in his tenure Wade Redden. that is only a sample of them if anyone can come up with more please tell me and debate whether or not this post is warrented. Oh and one more bringing in Torts, who in my opinion hasalready worn out his welcome.

with all these Redden & Sather posts it leads me to believe its “Beat A Dead Horse Day” here on the Banter. Is it?

What I really wanna know is, who was the 1 person that voted no? Can we bring em out back and beat em to a bloody pulp?

fire sather???

Yes we all love scapegoats, but the team he assembles consistently underachieves because of poor coaching. Also, his free agent signings this past season were quite good (prospal, gaborik, gilroy), and he was able to dump Gomez and his poor signings from this past off season (higgins and kotalik) for better players. In addition, his drafting strategies have been very solid as he stole Lundqvist with the 264th overall pick, he has stockpiled talent with kreider, werek, stepan, grachev, etc… Don’t overlook all the good because it could always be worse. Look at when the Islanders had Milbury – he screwed up the draft each year and now has Dipietro instead of Luongo, traded Chara, Spezza, Torres, and others. The fact is that Sather was at one time the best GM in all of hockey, perhaps all of sports and he built a dynasty. The real culprit is James Dolan who is more concerned with freaking 3-D technology than he is with winning. Dolan is a putz who has killed both teams that once thrived in the worlds most famous arena!

Gordie Clark made all those draft picks not Sather. Sather has done nothing for us although a couple of meaningless solid signings like Gabby. but that cant even negate all of the terrible signings hes made. Sather is absolutely terrible he needs to be banished from the NHL.

It is time

Time to put the bad seasons, and bad reasons down once and for all. Okay, great, that the Rangers made the playoffs four straight years after not making it for eight straight. It’s time the Garden Faithful had young players to watch grow and get behind over a career. It’s time that veterans that come here fulfill the promise they come with, no matter the size of their contracts. It’s time for responsible management ALL THE WAY AROUND! I wouldn’t stop at firing Sather. James Dolan, you NEED to place the Rangers, Knicks, Liberty, and MSG in moreso capable hands than your own. Run Cablevision into the ground, I could care less. But, it’s time that new blood take these franchises over and that YOU, James Dolan, take your leave…permanently!

We live in a town of money-makers...

you mean to tell me that they aren’t Knicks and Rangers fans?? Have five or six millionaires band together, form an investment group, and buy them.

And when they knock on Dolan's door....

….and he says – “Thanks boys (and girls) but I LOVE these Teams! I’ll call you in 30 years when I might be interested in selling….”

Then what?

See – the Knicks, as crappy as they’ve been (longer than the Rangers) are still profitable.
The Rangers – are still profitable.
The overall COMPANY – MSG Inc. – is profitable.
For those who doubt: Yahoo Finance Article on MSG Inc

It’s a nice fantasy – but the reality is that no “investment group” is going to overpay to buy MSG, and unless they overpay, Dolan ain’t sellin’.

I voted no because I have a better idea

Why don’t Big Van Sather and Wade Redden accept my challenge to a cage match with me and my partner Hulk Hogan, The mega powers are back together ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaahhhh, let’s just hope Hogan lays off Elizabeth I don’t want to have to come off the top rope and drop the big elbow on Hogan. Let’s just hope Big Van Sather doesn’t make a deal with the snake man Jake the Snake, Can’t trust the snake man I know Hogan is friends with Brutus Beefcake but trust me I don’t want him as a partner have you seen him running around with those scissors and those pants. Might as well call him Brutus the Barber Fruitcake Ohhhhh Yeaaaaa Dig IT

I think I would actually consider paying

to see Wade Redden and “Big Van” Sather in a tag team match

ROFLMAO

OOOOOOOooooohhhhhh Yeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh!!
Gotta love it.
