Just gotta edit the 19th pick from LA to Florida as part of their trade, good recap. Hopefully we get more of what we want & need in the later rounds.

Did this all just happen? We got McIlrath instead of Fowler or Forbort?

Im pretty sure everyone here knows we need a badass crease-clearing defenseman, but not at 10 overall. If they didnt want the top 2 defenseman or the top forward available and were set on Mac then they shouldve traded down & acquired more picks. Taking him at 10 is sort of a reach, especially with all the questions about his skating & the fact that hes expected to be 3-4 years away from the NHL. Im sure well all come to appreciate this pick but definitely have the “what if” factor of taking Gormley or Fowler.
