Yeah
you guys hold on too long…
Brashear was a mistake….Orr didn’t want to stay.
Sather isn’t God.
Once again it takes the right type of person to play and succeed in New York.
Players that care about two or three things in life.
Hockey and family being most important.
Who is too old
If anyone is too old to be on the Rangers, it is Cigarbreath Sather. He is clueless. He lets Colton Orr go and signs goons like Brashear, Voros, Shelley and now Booger. He also has demi-goons such as Avery and Prust on the roster.
he didn’t sign shelley, thats the point. im not sure what you mean by demi-goon but IMO avery and prust bring a very necassary style to this team, that being agitators who can forecheck but have the skill to contribute. brashear and voros were the worst of those for sure ( if we’re leaving R&R dru and gomez out of the discussion)

Torts and Sather will never see eye to eye.
When Orr left, he wanted to play closer to home, thats why he went to Toronto.
Brashear was signed because he “was” an elite fighter, teams fear the heavy weights. Brashear never had a chance, we will never forget what he did to Betts and we didnt. On top of that, he was never a disciplined skater, always in the sin bin for some stupid penalty.
Shelley was a blessing in disguise. He was very disciplined, he knew how to fight and when to fight and he clicked very well with his line mates. He was also a prescence in the locker room. Perfect for the system Torts is trying to build.
I really feel sorry for the Boogeyman, the fans took a liking to Shelley and now we are back to where we were with Brashear, clumsy, undisciplined skater.
