Hey guys I have been bugging Jim, sorry for all the e-mails Jim, to see if we can start up another Blueshirt Banter Fantasy Hockey League. Jim gave me the OK to go forward and start up the league. Everything is the same as last year, although I added in "hits" as a scoring category but if majority would like it removed we most certainly can do so. The link provided is the link to the Yahoo! Fantasy Sports link to the League, but just in case the League ID is 28950 and the Password is rangers1.

We can have a maximum of 18 teams in the league and we ask that you use your Blueshirt Banter Login Name, for example I would use b4mv01 as my team name so this way people know who is running which team and it makes it easier for anyone else on the site to see how everyone is doing. I have it set-up to draft next week. It will be done as an Auto-pick so in case someone cant make it we all have equal chances to get good players. i was thinking that too but we filled all 18 last year, if we cant reach that # we can ceratinly lower the # of teams and if we can find a great time for everyone to draft I’d love to make it a live draft lol
last year was great. i hope everyone plays till the end this year, we had some good matchups…

hell if everyone wants a live draft im definitely down lol what do you guys think a weekend at night for the live draft?
Fun and stress = fantasy hockey
I think it is going to be very difficult to manage but if you can get enough guys to be available at a night you predetermine then those are the guys that get to be involved in the league (just make sure it is an even number and you get as many as possible). I think you more or less have to do the live draft, that is where the strategy comes into it. Without the live draft all the fun and stress is removed, and by God I want my fun and stress.
In Hank we trust.
Whenever is good, but definitely prefer live draft.

Preferably. I’m nowhere near a computer on Thursday, Friday, or Sat nights. A Tuesday or Wednesday night would prob work for most.

I’d also like assurance that teams that don’t make the playoffs aren’t able to make transactions when they start. Last year I had by far the best record and then some clowns dropped their best players at the start of the playoffs and I ended up losing in the. Championship to a team that had picked up Zach Parise and Henrik Sedin.

I’ll see what I can do about stopping transactions at a certain point, i dont think i can do it for just non-playoff teams but I can check into a date where there would be no changes at all after a certain point (except line changes and IR pick-ups and roster changes)

this just made me really excited about hockey season starting…i would prefer a live draft…any night but monday(hockey) and wednesday(softball) is good for me…

if people can't make the live draft...
they can autopick, but lets try to keep it live. much more challenging and more strategy involved.
