New York Rangers News: Wolski And Sauer Not Skating For Second Straight Day; Practice Notes
With the Rangers second practice in-progress, news surfaced that Wojtek Wolski (groin) and Michael Sauer (shoulder) were not on the ice today. Both were held out of practice yesterday for a maintenance day, to help recover from their injuries.
Wolski sat out the second game of the season, due to a sore groin, but Sauer never missed a game as of yet. Seems like nothing escalated as of yet, just the Rangers being cautious once again.
In other news, the Rangers started their practice off with a bit of powerplay work. Good to see them working on their powerplay, getting it ready for their upcoming games. As the rest of the team came onto the ice, Stepan was paired with Richards, and Gaborik for drills. However, it would be nice to see Stepan up there, but Torts already stated Dubinsky will remain there for this Saturday.
Ryan Callahan also left the ice after the powerplay drills, and has yet to return. No word if it is injury related, or equipment related. We will keep you update on this.
We will be updating this post until the practice concludes. More to come shortly.

Not sure why anyone is proposing Step at LW
Last year he was criticized for not being a suitable center for Gabby because he is a right handed shot and wasn’t feeding to his right comfortably enough. Playing LW would exacerbate that further. Having a sniper (like Gabby) play the off wing is often successful, but a lot of Step’s value is as a setup man, who should play RW if not C.
He’s played the left boards on the powerplay and looked good. People are using that as a comparison. Point is we have a hole on the LW and not the RW. People disregard handedness and say “well, he’s an interesting and skilled player, let’s put him here”.
It happens all the time with defensemen.
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
I seen they are using EC on the PP practice. kind of scary to think they think EC is the answer to anything

You can hide his lack of effort
When the other team has one less player on the ice.

Read on Twitter that Cally got banged up in practice and came off the ice
Hope he’s okay. Zuke is now skating with AA and Dubi with Cally out.
