Merry Christmas From Blueshirt Banter
Hello everyone,
The staff here at Blueshirt Banter would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. It's always fun when the New York Rangers are doing well (and even more fun when they are doing spectacular) but it's also important to stop and enjoy life outside of hockey as well.
Hopefully you all got what you wanted from Santa Claus this morning and you have a day of drinking, laughing, eating and fun ahead of you.
Please use this open thread to discuss thoughts on the team or even use it to wish everyone a happy holidays.
Just as a note, I was able to interview Adam Graves yesterday and the story will be going onto the website Monday or Tuesday. I will also be interviewing Nick Fotiu Monday, which will also go up on the site as soon as possible. Both interviews are focusing on the players involvement in the Alumni Game.
Happy holidays guys! Have a good one!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. Let us remember not only our family and friends but also our fine men and women in the armed forces (and their families) that help keep us safe and free. 2 things on Adam Graves. The first is Graves accidentally hits Mario Lemieux on the hand in the playoffs breaking Lemieux’s hand and is basically called a thug by the media (Graves, of all people). The 2nd is a story. I share season tickets with a gentleman that has had tickets since 1978. My friend’s father passed away and for people who are of the Orthodox Jewish faith you are not allowed to do “special” things for a year. So when the Rangers had an on ice event at MSG for season ticket holders, my friend who would have taken his grandson, did not go. His daughter took the grandson (or her son). My friend gets a call from his daughter from MSG telling him what a great time they are having and that someone wants to talk to him. It was Graves. Graves was told by the daughter that my friend’s father died and couldn’t be there. Graves spoke to my friend for 10 minutes saying how he lost his father and how devastated he was so he could understand the pain my friend was experiencing. That’s Adam Graves and the spirit and class he brings to the Rangers’ organization.

For some reason my family was trying to get me to want a Winter Classic jersey. Maybe they’re cheaper? Definitely preferred the regular away.

I got a Callahan 3rd jersey (the one with New York across the chest) for Christmas. It looks friggin’ gorgeous.

I got the away with the c patch. I avoid all alternates because I don’t like wearing jerseys the team doesn’t wear anymore (which will happen in a few years probably) but that’s a personal preference.
What other players do you have? I just have home MDZ and away Cally

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!
Hope Santa was good to everyone and you spend some nice time with family and friends. For those of you with significant others.. hopefully you’ll be enjoying some holiday nookie. For those of you single, there’s always next year.
But once tomorrow morning hits its back to the grind and we need a 1,000 post game thread so lets bring our “A” games for the Islanders game.

Santa is not St,Miculas!!
Santa is man-made..its a people,s creation.nothing to do wth old tradition..According to calendar Jesus was born at night on 24 th of december..though there are speculations that it actually happened in the spring, but it would be too much…Go Rangers!!! and merry christmas and a happy new year!! to all ranger fans!!!
Dec 25th was adopted from a pagan holiday. Jesus was born in August or something.
All religions “take” days from previous religions, mostly due to conquering of foreigners and adapting religions to fit them.

Merry Christmas to one and all!
Let’s be honest, as fans, our present will come right around late June. Whatever you celebrate this holiday season, OUR celebration will come then.
My point: here in the blog, we often hammer each other with point-counterpoint. But, we’re not so often friendly here to one another.
Nonetheless, I wish you all the happiest of holidays, boys and girls. I raise my Yankee mug of eggnog to one and all.
