Does anyone else think
the heritage classic was a dumb idea? I feel like if anything it should be two original 6 teams. How can you call it the heritage classic otherwise?
Well, they stick with American teams for the NHL Classic, they figure the Canadians need their own thing. Toronto Montreal?

No I love it, and I have no problem with the teams. This is far better than the Homogenized NBC Winter Classic

Anybody besides me...
find it difficult to watch pucks after the Rangers lose like they did today…or any day for that matter.
Nah, I’m ok today. Philly’s just better

I hear you. I just REALLY hate losing to them.
I have the terrible misfortune of living and working in the Philly area for the next 14 months so I have to hear it all day for the next week at least.
I feel empty inside.

Went well. Of course this weekend for the first time in about 6 weeks we had rain here, but we were able to work around it. It’s been raining on and off since yesterday morning, although now the sun is out.
It’s all good though, we’re getting settled in, and I cheered myself up after the Rangers game by setting up my surround sound

Please. I’m always fielding phone calls from the folks asking how to operate the simplest of electronic devices. They get confused and resort to button-mashing which requires me to visit and figure out what they did, reverse it, then fix the original problem.
It’s horrible. People past a certain age shouldn’t be allowed electronics.

well hes reporting that Gaborik is pretty much gone, which makes no sense to me since he has a concussion and a NTC. should be something we look for in the next couple days
by nyrangerfan521 on Feb 20, 2011 7:22 PM EST up reply actions
he said one deal is for a top 2 dman and a servicable goal scoring forward. if thats the kings sounds like Brown and Johnson to me

Johnson isn’t a top-2 guy.

hes getting 24 mins a game there. thats top 2 minutes. and 38 pts in 59 games
by nyrangerfan521 on Feb 20, 2011 7:33 PM EST up reply actions
He’s also going to wind up in the teens in +/ because he’s bad defensively. He gets a lot of time on the PP and that’s where most of his points come from.
Blueshirt Banter, We've got some balls! *It's just pain.*
this bob guy is saying Sather has 2 teams bidding against each other so well see. Gabby does have a NTC so this could all be moot
by nyrangerfan521 on Feb 20, 2011 7:36 PM EST up reply actions
I think he waives the NTC. For my money, Gabby never seemed like a true NY guy. I bet he’s looking to go somewhere where he can live in general anonymity (sp) and miss his customary 20+ games a year with new fear of fan/media reprise
i think hed waive it just to get away from torts’ system wasnt isnt the best fit for him. i dont think he really cares about the media too much
by nyrangerfan521 on Feb 20, 2011 7:39 PM EST up reply actions
I mentioned something similar a few weeks back about him possibly not liking the NY media and that he might accept a shot somewhere else. It’s probably all moot, but whatever.
Blueshirt Banter, We've got some balls! *It's just pain.*
I don’t mean Johnson’s a bad player, he’s just inept defensively and has only had 2 decent years offensively (last year and this). If he gets moved I’d see MDZ getting swapped since they’re about the same guy, and with Staal/McD going to be stalwarts on our left-side, Johnson would take the 3rd spot and not need to play as much PK/ES time.
Blueshirt Banter, We've got some balls! *It's just pain.*
a johnson/sauer combo wouldnt be bad as sauer can bail him out on some defensive lapses
by nyrangerfan521 on Feb 20, 2011 7:42 PM EST up reply actions
Stupid strike-through, should be in the negative ~teens in +/- for his 4th straight year.

yeah ive never been a fan of his 5 on 5 game but i can see Slats bringin him in for the PP

If we get something good for Gaborik I am all for it, no one is ‘untradeable’, especially not Gaborik. But he is a tricky guy to trade with the NTC and his injury issues. I’d take him in a trade that was based on Schenn though. Maybe throw in Stoll and a prospect or two.
I like Stoll. He can do something no one on the team can do- win a fucking face off.

I actually don’t think this is right, because if something did happen mid-game and Sather worked out a trade…then I think saying you pulled him out of the game because of a concussion when it really was because you didn’t want him hurt because he was traded violates some rules….
