After talking with some other BSB members I have decided to create an NHL 11 Xbox 360 league for those interested. Warning in advance I have selected the Rangers, so if you join you cannot be the Rangers.
Please only join if you are going to be dedicated to the league. I mean that, I don't want you saying "oh this will be fun for a couple of days." I expect devoted players.

Well we hope to get a lot of teams, but either way every team plays each other once. After that, depending on the standings, we go into playoffs. I wouldn’t expect too many games a week, it’s flexible.

most of the PS3 technological advantages aren't being utilized yet. I will agree that
PS3 is better suited for the future in gaming. By then though the next Xbox will probably already be out.
Multi platform games tend to come out slightly (and I mean slightly) better on Xbox. Also I think Xbox has a better library of games. Not to mention and incredible online community.

except the xbox service is miles beyond the free one playstation has.
It’s roughly $3 a month. Plus they have sales all the time. I have gotten xbox live cards for as low as $25, or $2 a month.
Doesn’t matter because eventually the games will be charging their own fees to use their servers.

I signed up with the Canes last night. Din’t play yet though, too busy wallowing in pitty after watching us run out of time again…
Anyway, I was wondering a couple of things, I’ve never played in an online league before.
1. How much time do we have to play all our games?
2. We can only play each team once right? So if I play someone I won’t be able to play them again?
1. Periods are scaled to 5 mins. so figure with stoppages and such it takes about 20 mins to play a game.
2. I only joined last night, played a few games. I tried to rematch HobbitWizard after our game but it said I had already played the required amount of games vs that opponent. So based on that I am going to say you can only play each person once.

Just got demolished 9-2 by CBJ….3rd goal was weird because Lundqvist was like “I’m not gonna bother on this one” and it went through his pads…6th because it wouldn’t let me pick up the puck and he got a breakaway…still if it was 7-2 he destroyed me…I need to work on my defense! damn im 0-2-1 in this league. some great competition though. the first game i lost because jimmy howard decides to come out and play a puck that is going for icing and whiffs it to an open net for the other team. got demolished in the second.then staal decides to become superman with 20 secs lef and go through 4 guys and score a soft one. anyone else think the stick lifting in this game is ridiculous? it basically works every time
well i lost my first game 0-7 to ragsfan… so i guess i’ll see you in the bottom of the league.
I’m getting crazy at the AI of my teammates. When i’m chasing someone in the corner they always leave my goalie hanging.. And i really hate the checking system. My player always slides past the opponent when trying a open ice hit.

no luck so far. We tried update 11 and update 10. And we were about to try update 9 but sadly big deep didnt make it. But who can blame him… EA sucks big time and it got to him. But lets remember to good ol’days. Big deep was a loved member of BSB and he will be remembered for his bravery in the battle against EA.
This day shall hereby be known as “big deep day of sorrow”. So now we have one day a year when we can gather with our families and remember that, even though EA have their bright days, they really suck.

Cant play league games. When accepting game invite it says “the league was created using older roster”. We tried to select older rosters but it didnt help. According to EA you have to clear system cache but that didnt help either. Lets hope it works today. Or maybe you’ll have to update the league roster somehow?

I’m pretty sure if you let the league have trades then this won’t happen. How are they gonna update a roster when teams are trading? I was in an old league with trades and this update thing didn’t happen, maybe it’s worth a shot?
