According to everyone, the Philadelphia Flyers have signed Jaromir Jagr. The contract is worth $3.3 million and will last for one-year. This is a confirmed done deal.
Signing Updates from George:
Radek Dvorak -1 year, $1.5m with the Dallas Stars
Tim Brent - signs with the Carolina Hurricanes, 2 years, $750k cap hit.
Ed Jovanovski - rejoins the Florida Panthers for 4 years, $16.5 million.

Food for thought
The moves the Flyers made with moving Carter and Richards suggested that they wanted to win the Stanley Cup not necessarily next year but within the next several years. Though that can be called a silly thing to say because of the signing of Bryzgalov… but still they have him under contract for a good long period, they are a team with tons of young assets now (perhaps too many) and are built to be a real powerhouse in a few years.
Now they add Jagr and Talbot and leave only $1 mill in cap to sign Simmonds (or something like that) they have to move Hartnell. Crazy.

I understand Rupp – its better than having Prust take EVERY fight this year… Prust is actually small, can’t handle that by himself. Rupp is essentiall our enforcer, and can play. Better than Brashear!
