Injury Updates: Fedotenko Makes The Trip To Boston; Ryan McDonagh Is Fine
The New York Rangers confirmed this morning that forward, Ruslan Fedotenko has made the trip to Boston with the team. Fedotenko was knocked out of the game in the third period against the Tampa Bay Lightning on February 9th, in which the Rangers won in overtime.
At first the hit that injuried Fedotenko looked to be an intentional head shot by Dominic Moore, but it was later seen as a stick that hit him in the face. However, it is good news to see Fedotenko say that he is doing better, and making the trip up to Boston. In his absence, Stu Bickel has been playing forward the last two games, the first time since High School.
Ryan McDonagh also spoke following the Rangers 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals. He stated that he just tweaked his leg a little bit after scoring the goal that put the Rangers up 2-1. He also says that he has had the same injury in the past, and that he will fine to play against the Bruins on Tuesday.

Good news on the health front - they'll need it
Starting last weekend (Feb 5th) this team will play 12 games in 22 days. Looking even further ahead, they’ll play 33 games over 63 days, including 5 back to back sets and only 3 extra days off, to finish the season. That a shit ton of hockey that can lead to a lot of bumps and bruises. Hope they have something wrapped up by April so they can rest a bunch of guys before the playoffs.
Manning lobs it, Burress alone, touchdown New York!
For the empty net, Mark Messier... do you believe it?! Do you believe it?! He said we will win game 6 - he has just picked up the hat trick!
last i heard, he was day to day and there is no timetable for his return. which SUCKS.
Shoot the puck Barry!!!
yeah I don’t think he has even skated….

It is a nice feeling
That even if we lose we have a decent cushion. Obviously we want to win but the consistency on this team with getting points really puts you in a position now where if you trip up its not the end of the world, unlike the past 5 years when were clawing tooth and nail just for a ticket to the dance.
