Tired of Rick Nash Stories? Good, here's another one

Author's note: This story is either completely true, or 100% fabrication. Either way, don't use it as another debate over Rick Nash, you guys have all made your case for or against. Enjoy.

The trade rumors swirling around Rick Nash and his possible destinations aren't going to cool down after this morning's latest developments.

According to numerous Twitter reports, and this guy Mike who knows a guy who once drove through Columbus wearing a blue jacket, Nash was spotted at Sammy's New York Style Deli in Columbus this morning, ordering not only a bagel, but a New York Style "egg cream", which is neither egg nor cream, but we'll get to that another time.

Now while this may not seem to be a lot to go on, Nash was also spotted looking at a map of Manhattan on the wall, and may or may not have actually pointed at something on the map, we're just not sure. It could have been a smudge, Rick is known to be a bit of a neat freak.

There were also rumors that Nash smiled ever so slightly while looking at the map, but it's been suggested that may just be because Sammy's has pretty good bagels.

However, we are also getting word that an Itunes user by the name of "ColumbusIsHell" just downloaded Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" to his Ipod, but privacy laws prohibit Apple from providing the person's real name.

Keep it here for all the latest, like if Nash goes to lunch and has pizza or sushi.

LATEST RICK NASH RUMOR:

Nash’s teammates have said he has been seen in the locker room wearing I LOVE NEW YORK t-shirts, and eating new york style bagel chips before games.

An anonymous player says Rick has taken on a “fetish for all things new york now too”.

And in that picture, he’s doing the YMCA dance, and you know the band who sang that song? The Village People. And you know what’s in NYC? “The Village” where people of his stature tend to reside.

Sounds like crap to me...

No player is openly admitting to a reporter that they want their teammates to be traded. I also think stating there is a 80% Dubi is traded is a ludicrous attempt to drum up some attention.

off the record, they admit a lot more than you think.

Breaking news

Nash is born on June 16th, which is 616, which is only 30 away from 646, which is an area code in new york city. COINCIDENCE??? I think not

Take it to the net and keep jamming and jamming until somebody comes on you.

Was the smudge on the map a shit stain from Vinny Prospal when he found out he was resigned by CBJ, while ordering a bagel?

Rick Nash rhymes with Thick Ash

Which is what has been falling off Sather’s cigar all day as he furiously negotiated with Columbus over what kind of sandwich platter they would offer in addition to Nash.

Wouldn't it be great

after all this Nash talk we trade for Carter…I’d feel a lot better

by Prustyballs94 on Feb 17, 2012 5:07 PM EST via Android app reply actions

I am kinda hoping

that all this talk is being done to throw off the other teams’ in the league and we are actually going for Carter. Like last minute

Sather: I’ll give you Dubi a 1st and Mcillrath for Nash.

Howson: Shit no what are you smoking?

Sather: well how about 1st 3rd Mcillrath and MZA for Carter?

Howson: I guess we need to get rid of that piece of shit.

Sather: sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

by rain-g-errs on Feb 17, 2012 6:36 PM EST up reply actions

Sather: Oh yeah and while we’re at it you can have Wolski too.

Howson: Well he is young, sure why not.

this is where sather is laughing him to self thinking about how much he just fleeced howson.

by rain-g-errs on Feb 17, 2012 6:37 PM EST up reply actions

So..

MZA, Mcilrath, a 1st, a 3rd, and Wolski for Carter?

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

well

this is where I stand on this
I would be willing to trade Dubinsky for him and I love Dubinsky but Nash is a goal scorer, we have plenty of grinding forwards on this team, even though I love you Dubinsky, you are expendable in a trade
now if it were Haggelin or Kreider, no way I do this trade
I know people love Dubi, I love the guy too but I really dont see him scoring like he did last season ever again
we have plenty of Dubi style players on this team that trading him wouldn’t be a huge loss
trading our top prospects or a guy like Callahan (never would happen) but losing players like that is a way bigger loss

that is where I stand on the issue anyway

the only real issue I have with this team is the lack of a big time goal scorer after Gaborik and the power play
whatever it takes to fix this power play next off season please do it, that will be what holds us back in the playoffs

Anthony Spencer is not the Egg McMuffin of 3-4 OLB's

by Archie Barberio on Feb 17, 2012 7:36 PM EST reply actions

I think

We’d all trade Dubinsky at this point. There is no question that Rick Nash is talented, the problem is his salary and what else we would have to give up to get him.
