So I guess sather and Torts have decided this is a lost season and are trading away all our high end talent.

Can I change the picture? I found a picture that sums up EC’s time in New York quite nicely to use instead.

Finally..!!
It made my day..He is gone! Good for nothing! No talent, waste of time,Thanks Sather and Torts..for good job..Go rangers!!!!
Poor kid gets wrongfully blasted.
Hopefully EC gets some playing time out in Minnie. Everyone is way too hard on him around here. He was a friggin’ waiver pick-up! Not some high-priced star. The kid single-handedly gave the team points with his shootout winners the last couple years. Plus, he never performed as or claimed to be a top-end talent, so why anyone expected more than 4th line minutes and procution from him is baffling. He showed up now and then with a pretty goal, which is what most low-liners do. Just cause he was put on a line with Gaborik for a short time doesn’t mean he should have been expected to perform like a superstar. He never had that talent-level.
Pierre McGuire needs to go away.

disagree
I don’t know the guy personally but the criticism he gets is pretty warranted in regard to his play. I felt for him especially after seeing a post-game interview once, earlier this season, when he sort of addressed the fact he has underachieved and seems to not work hard. You could tell there was a fire in there somewhere and lets face it, he’s gotta work pretty hard to stay on a Tortorella team for as long as he did, even if he wasn’t in the lineup all the time.
So he wasn’t a top prospect or anything as NY acquired him. But he was known for having slick hands; a playmaker be it passing or shooting. He had several cracks at top-six minutes, and didn’t make enough of those chances to stick. He was a misfit for bottom-6 (or at least most definitely 4th line) as his game is not a dump and chase, bump and grind game.
That’s why he became a healthy scratch and eventually (finally?) traded. You meet expectations, adapt, or get sent packing.
Even though he wasn’t one of the NYR’s top 12 forwards, I felt pretty bad for him—didn’t the NYRs picked him up when they had issues with acquiring (healthy) centers? Wasn’t thrilled about him stabbing Avery in the back. But…I hope things do work out for him and he finally taps into his potential.
same..
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
Buena suerte, pero
My home is a nacho-free zone. There is a litter box by the front door, though, if your need is great.
