The New York Rangers will look to extend their winning streak to three games tonight against the New Jersey Devils. The Rangers are coming off of a big 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, so hopefully some of the momentum carries over.
Bryan's Player To Watch:
Artem Anisimov put up a three point performance against the Flyers on Sunday, after slumping for a while. I can see him having another big night after a confident booster.

Rangers have been fortunate this year to win and/or get points out of games they didn’t really play well in. It didn’t work this time but it’s an improvement over previous years when they never would’ve gotten anything out of games they didn’t show up to.

How come it seems like the majority of their regulation losses are shutouts? Can’t they just lose a tightly contested game instead of being stoned by a porous Devils team? Jeez.

While I think the call was BS, it’s quite typical. So many GI calls are the result of Dmen pushing the opposing player from behind. The refs seem content to just call the GI since its easier.

where you can review that fucking play if it ends up being a goal, its really easy to see if its goalie interference with a stop rewind slow motion button from toronto…
it only seems fair
why would something like this not have caused a rule change like that already?!
i bet this is not even mentioned around the league tommorow, highlight reels probably won’t show it, or will show it and call it wholeheartedly goalie interference and cut out the part where he is pushed hahahha
Yeah, they need to do something to clarify it. The review for goals only is an interesting idea.

it would be absurd to review every penalty but if there was a goal involved it would happen very rarely and i think it would be a fair rule, sometimes the refs dont see all the play, video review only helps….
I would gladly sub the GI goal review for allowing all kicked in goals to count.

kicking rules are already fair its pretty stupid to be able to purposefully kick the puck in the net…
I think it’s a pretty good skill that should be rewarded. I think I’m in the minority though.

Gabby got clearly pushed into Brodeur with a few seconds left and the puck went off brodeurs pads before and onto anisimov’s stick and he put it in the back of the net 2 seconds later
but they called goalie interference because brodeur fell backwards from a new jersey defenseman pushing gabby into brodeur.
Sooo....
