The New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens will faceoff for the first time this season at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens will faceoff for the first time this season at Madison Square Garden. Brandon Prust will be making his return to the Garden since being acquired by the Montreal Canadiens on July 1st.

The Rangers will be without Darroll Powe tonight as he suffered a concussion last game against the Washington Capitals. Brandon Mashinter will be taking Powe's place, and will be skating in his first game for the Blueshirts.

Player To Watch:

Brandon Mashinter

#40 / Left Wing / New York Rangers

This is the obvious choice here tonight. Mashinter will be skating in his first game with the Rangers tonight, and will likely being taking a shift on the fourth line. He plays a gritty style of hockey, which will be needed with the absence of Darroll Powe.
