Megna Returned to Hartford, Glass Expected In Tomorrow

With the Flyers on the horizon, it appears the Rangers are going for toughness over speed.

The Rangers will meet the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow in their road whites and they will be doing so without Jayson Megna who was sent back down to Hartford after just one game back up with the big club. Megna had 9:12 TOI against the Minnesota Wild in the Rangers' come-from-behind victory at the Garden last night.

With Jayson Megna once again in the AHL, it appears that Alain Vigneault and the Rangers will turn to Tanner Glass in a big divisional game against the rival Philadelphia Flyers.

Glass, who we can only assume will be getting the nod for what is expected to be a gritty, physical game against the Orange and Black, will be in the Rangers' lineup after being a healthy scratch against the Minnesota Wild. In Glass' last game, on February 2nd against the Devils, he saw just 9:17 TOI.

Glass' hold on a regular roster spot seems tenuous at best at the moment. It will be interesting to see what kind of ice time he sees against the surging Flyers.

Thanks for reading. Let's go Rangers.
