Today the New York Rangers announced the signing of prospect Jaroslav Chmelar to a three-year entry-level contract.

The NHL Department of Player Safety has suspended Matt Rempe 4 games.
The DoPS found that Rempe’s decision to flare his elbow up and in a dangerous fashion into Siegenthaler, as well as the injury on the play, played a role in the suspension.
