The New York Rangers took to the ice in Ottawa for an optional skate this afternoon, and had a lot to share. Henrik Lundqvist did not take part (which is normal) during the sate, but he did have some words of wisdom to pass along.
“We feel good about our game,” said Henrik Lundqvist, who did not skate. I think all three games have been pretty much the same. I don’t think that much has changed.”
I have to agree with Lundqvist on this one. All three games have come right down to the wire, and it could have gone either way. One could say that the Senators had a few lucky bounces in the second game, and they did..welcome to the playoffs!
Steve Eminger skated once again today, and said that his ankle is the best it is going to be. Tomorrow he will be working with the coaching staff on 1-on-1 battles, to get him back into game shape. He is still working on his conditioning, but there is no indication if he will return to the lineup when he is ready.

Chris Kreider also commented once again, after playing in his first NHL game last night. Kreider stated that it was definitely harder making the jump, than he thought it would be.
[Chris Kreider on his first NHL game] “I felt good about it in retrospect. There are definitely some things I could have done. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be coming in. It’s very taxing. It’s a challenge every single shift.”
I thought Kreider handled himself pretty well for the situation he was quickly thrown into. He definitely has room for improvement, but with time he will gain confidence and improve his game without a doubt.
Carl Hagelin also skated once again for the Rangers, but was not made available to the media. Hagelin currently has two games left on his three game suspension.
