2014 Olympics: Canada vs Norway Open Thread

More Rangers representing their countries today. For the noon game it is Zuke and the Norwegians taking on the powerhouse Canadians and big Rick Nash.

It should come as no shock to anyone that Team Canada is the favorite to bring home the gold in the 2014 Winter Games and it should come as no surprise to anyone that Norway is a serious underdog to medal or make it out of the group stage. This afternoon we'll see two Rangers' forwards face off against each other on the big international ice; Mats Zuccarello, who is leading the Rangers in points going into the Olympic break, and star forward Rick Nash. Zuccarello, bless his little heart, is the only current NHLer on Team Norway.

If Nash has a strong tournament in Sochi it might do wonders for his confidence and get him on the right track for the remaining 23 games of the 2013-14 season, so look for him to flourish on the big ice surface playing with some of the words most talented players. It'll be interesting to see how Mike Babcock uses big Rick Nash. There's some talk of him being used on the penalty kill and in a defensive role which would be an interesting change from how he is used on Broadway.
