2015 NHL Playoffs: 5/1 Open Thread
Two more postseason games to give us our now daily fix of playoff hockey.
Before I say anything else, I'd like to wish you all a happy month of May. May you be safe from the sun, bugs, and the indescribable perfume of garbage juice sizzling under the sun.
- GAME 1: Tampa Bay Lightning at Montreal Canadiens, 7:00 PM
- GAME 1: Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks, 9:30 PM
Tonight two more playoff series that won't cause us to go to sleep laughing or crying will get underway.
Hopefully by watching tonight's games we can all move past last night's heartbreaking loss and get ready for Game 2 of the Capitals vs Rangers series. Maybe, just maybe, we will have a thread where people aren't using profanities when describing Dan Boyle (who really is a lovely man) and won't be prematurely ridiculing Rick Nash and claiming that he has developed the same super power as Mrs. Fantastic. Honestly, who named Reed Richards "Mr. Fantastic"? Was it him? Can you do that kind of thing? Nevermind, back to hockey...
What are your predictions for tonight's games? There seems to be a lot of people are already saying that the Lightning are going to get past the Canadiens without much difficulty, but as long as the Habs have Carey Price in net anything can happen. Will Zach Parise and the Wild overcome Toews, Kane, and the Blackhawks tonight? Or will the Blackhawks continue their annual march deep into the postseason? I'm not sure what the answers to these questions are, but I do know that I can't wait to see them get answered when the puck drops tonight for two big playoff games.
What are your predictions for tonight's games? For these series? Can anyone stop Tyler Johnson?
Enjoy your open thread, be good to one another.
Let's go Rangers.
