2015 Training Camp: New York Rangers Announce Training Camp Roster

The New York Rangers officially announced their 2015 training camp roster, which includes 62 players.

With on ice testing expected to kick off tomorrow morning, the New York Rangers officially announced their 2015 training camp roster. The roster will include a total of 62 players, which breaks down to 33 forwards, 21 defensemen, and eight goaltenders.

The full roster can be found down below:

Forwards: Luke Adam, Ryan Bourque, Derick Brassard, Emerson Etem, Jesper Fast, Brian Gibbons, Tanner Glass, Ryan Gropp, Jayden Hart, Kevin Hayes, Marek Hrivik, Keegan Iverson, Kirill Kabanov, Chris Kreider, Oscar Lindberg, Matt Lindblad, Chris McCarthy, Jayson Megna, JT Miller, Dominic Moore, Brad Morrison, Rick Nash, Chad Nehring, Richard Nejezchleb, Josh Nicholls, Travis Olesksuk, Michael St. Croix, Viktor Stalberg, Derek Stepan, Jarret Stoll, Adam Tambellini, Nick Tarnasky, Mats Zuccarello.

Defensemen: Calle Andersson, Brett Bellemore, Mat Bodie, Dan Boyle, Kodie Curran, Raphael Diaz, Troy Donnay, Dan Girardi, Ryan Graves, Tommy Hughes, Kevin Klein, Ryan Mantha, Ryan McDonagh, Dylan McIlrath, Samuel Noreau, Brady Skjei, Marc Staal, Chris Summers, Keith Yandle, Petr Zamorsky, Sergey Zborovskiy.

Goaltenders: Cedrick Desjardins*, Brandon Halverson, Magnus Hellberg, Henrik Lundqvist, Jeff Malcolm, Antti Raanta, Mackenzie Skapski*, Jacob Smith.

One surprising and unexpected name included on the list is Kirril Kabanov, a former third-round pick of the New York Islanders in 2010. Kabanov had a falling out with the Islanders over the dreaded "character concerns", and bolted over to Sweden where he played an integral role with Skellefteå AIK last season.

If he has a good camp, and the Rangers are able to get him to commit to the AHL for the time being, it would be another huge coup for Jeff Gorton.
