As many of you have already seen, Danz10 created a BSB league for the NHL's Playoff Bracket Challenge. Now that the regular season has ended, I am writing this fanpost to provide everyone with the detailed instructions for filling out the bracket and joining the league. Hopefully, this will proactively address any issues that anyone may encounter. As always, joining the league is free and the main prize is bragging rights, as the winner will be able to unequivocally declare that they have the most hockey knowledge among all the blog members.

Computer and Laptop Instructions

1) Go to www.nhl.com and sign into your NHL profile (or take 30 seconds to create one for free).

2) Click on a link that says "Bracket Challenge" (there should be multiple links on the main page).

3) Scroll down and take note of the scoring system, which appears beneath the bracket.

4) For each matchup, click on the team you think will win the series.

5) For the First Round matchups, predict the length of each series by clicking on the corresponding drop-down box.

6) As a tiebreaker, predict the total number of goals that you think will be scored by both teams combined. Type this number in the box adjacent to the Stanley Cup Final matchup.

7) Name your bracket by clicking on the icon near the top-left corner of the screen that has a pencil inside of a square. You can name your bracket whatever you want, but I recommend that you give it a name that is the same as or similar to your BSB profile name, as it will be easier for everyone to track the standings.

8) When finished with everything, click "SAVE BRACKET" (the site may prompt you to reenter your sign-in info). Failing to click save will make you lose all your progress.

9) Near the top of the screen, click "Leagues." In the "Search Leagues" box, type "Blueshirt Banter." Click on the link for the "Blueshirt Banter" league, and enter the password "KingHenrik" (case-sensitive, one word, no quotation marks).

NHL GameCenter App Instructions

1) Open the App. Upon doing so, you should see the "Bracket" button at the bottom of the screen. If this button doesn't appear, you can also access the challenge by clicking on the "More" button at the bottom of the screen and then clicking the "Bracket Challenge" tab that shows up.

2) At the top of the screen, click either "Sign In" or "Create Account," whichever applies to you. Sign in or create your NHL profile.

Deadline

The deadline to submit a bracket is Wednesday, April 15th at 7:00pm EDT (the scheduled start time of the first playoff games). Once you submit a bracket, you are able to keep editing it up until the deadline. Just be sure to click "SAVE BRACKET" every time you make any changes.
