Stanley Cup Final Open Thread: Game 6

Does the season come to an end tonight in Chicago? Or will Tampa live to fight another day?

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

GAME 1: CHI 2 at TBL 1
GAME 2: CHI 3 at TBL 4
GAME 3: TBL 3 at CHI 2
GAME 4: TBL 1 at CHI 2
GAME 5: CHI 2 at TBL 1
GAME 6: 8:00 PM ET at Blackhawks
GAME 7: 8:00 PM ET at Lightning (if necessary)

Tonight we might see Jonathan Toews accept the Stanley Cup from Gary Bettman in Chicago after sixty minutes of playoff hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning are officially on their last life here in the Stanley Cup Final after losing Game 5 at the Amalie Arena thanks to an early third period goal by deadline pick-up Antoine Vermette. There is a lot of character and heart on this Tampa Bay hockey club, but heart alone won't win this game. They will need their big guns to wake from their slumber and to have players step up throughout their lineup given all of the key players that are banged up heading into tonight's elimination game.

Hopefully, no matter the result, we'll see some special hockey tonight from both teams. One group of men is just a single game away from embracing one another and reveling in the bliss of winning the greatest trophy in professional sport and the other is doing everything they can to stay alive for a chance to win the Cup in Tampa.

The puck drops at around 8:20. Enjoy tonight's hockey game, buddies.

So, what's for dinner?
