2015 NHL Draft: Day 2 Open Thread

And here we go...

Well, Cam Talbot didn't get traded yesterday, so naturally everyone is freaking out and worrying that Glen Sather held onto his cards for far too long. Although Talbot didn't get moved yesterday, a few other big names did. Milan Lucic, Ryan O'Reilly, Dougie Hamilton, and Griffin Reinhart all have new homes after some big deals before and during the draft yesterday. Missed out on some of yesterday's shenanigans? You can catch up on all the picks and moves here:

Round 1 Picks

Draft Day Trades

The Rangers are scheduled to make their first pick of the draft with the 59th overall pick of the draft towards the conclusion of the second round. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if we see the Rangers making more than one selection here today in the second round given that the team still has a few assets to move and it is clear that the Rangers are looking to add some picks and add some fresh blood to the development system in this year's draft.

So, will we see another day go by without a Rangers trade? I don't think we will, the only question now is just how much can the Rangers get for players like Cam Talbot and Kevin Klein after the first round is already in the books? I suppose we'll all just have to wait and see what develops today in the second day of the 2015 NHL Draft. Are you nervous? I'm nervous. Let's get all of the second round picks. All of 'em.

Let's go Rangers.
