News and notes for Monday, October 9th, 2017

The Rangers were in need of major adjustments, and Alain Vigneault responded in a major way. After dropping their first two games while giving up twelve goals, Vigneault  tweaked his lineup to allow for more defensive players to see the ice, and the results speak for themselves. A stellar defensive effort by the team allowed Henrik Lundqvist to record a shutout as the Rangers won 2-0. Here are today’s news and links:
