It’s official, the Vegas Golden Knights have selected Oscar Lindberg from the New York Rangers in the expansion draft. The Rangers did not make a trade to protect Antti Raanta or any other kind of deal to influence who Golden Knights general manager George McPhee selected.
From NYR, VGK take Oscar Lindberg, forward.

Lindberg joins a group of forwards that features names like James Neal, David Perron, Cody Eakin, Teemu Pulkkinen and Jonathan Marchessault on the NHL’s newest team.
Lindberg turns 26-years-old next October. He finishes his Rangers career with 48 points in 134 games. He was originally a second round pick of the Arizona Coyotes.
Good luck in Vegas, Oscar.
