Report: Lindy Ruff in, Jeff Beukeboom out as NYR Assistant Coach

As per the New York Post’s Larry Brooks, the Rangers are to finalize a deal where Lindy Ruff will replace Jeff Beukeboom on the coaching staff, overseeing defensemen. Ruff, longtime coach of the Buffalo Sabres, was dismissed by his most recent stint with the Dallas Stars in April. Beukeboom, hired last summer to replace the departed Ulf Samuelsson, is coming off his 1st NHL coaching season, after spending time in the AHL Hartford Wolfpack’s coaching staff since 2012.
