Henrik Lundqvist Back To Practicing On His Own

As you’re undoubtedly aware, Henrik Lundqvist got injured at the World Championship this year. From Mike’s story in early June:

Henrik Lundqvist recently told a Swedish newspaper (Sport Express) that he damaged ligaments in his knee playing at the World Championship. He will be able to do “nothing” to start his summer while rehabbing his knee for four to six weeks.

Well, it appears that Lundqvist is on the early side of that timeline. Per friend of Blueshirt Banter Patrik Bexell, Joel Lundqvist has confirmed Lundqvist is back and practicing on his own.

This is, obviously, a really good sign. As is him continuing to expect to practice with Frolunda (his old Swedish team) in August before the season starts (which he does often).

Just some good news to share this morning.
