Rangers at Kings Open Game Thread

The New York Rangers continue their road trip today with their first of three in California, as they take on the Los Angeles Kings.

The 3-6-1 Rangers, who are third to last in the league with seven points, are just ahead of the 2-7-1 Kings, who are second to last with five points. The Rangers have yet to add to their win column on the road, going 0-3-1 so far. The Kings, on the other hand, are 1-2-1 at home to start the season.

If yesterday’s practice is indicative of how the Rangers will skate today, there are quite a few changes. First, Adam McQuaid is day-to-day after leaving Thursday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks with injury. Tony DeAngelo looks slated to replace him on Brady Skjei’s right. Filip Chytil has been shifted back to center, and subsequently moved down to the fourth line. Plus, there’s been some changes on the wings.

On the other side of the ice, Jonathan Quick is out with injury again, which means the Rangers will likely face Jack Campbell. Peter Budaj was recently promoted from their AHL affiliate to back him up. Up front, Dustin Brown returns from injury.
