The New York Rangers (3-7-1, 7 points) continue their California road trip tonight as they take on the San Jose Sharks (6-3-2, 14 points). The Blueshirts are fresh off a 4-3 loss in Los Angeles vs. the Kings, and the Sharks are coming off a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
Tonight’s action will feature new lines for both squads as Pavel Buchnevich will be a healthy scratch, and Joe Thornton will return to the Sharks’ lineup.
The Blueshirts faced the Sharks twice last season, losing 4-1 at Madison Square Garden on October 23, and winning 6-5 in San Jose on January 25.
Here are the projected lineups for both squads.
