Which losing streak will continue?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

For those of you who have been pulling for the Rangers to tank, this game should be particularly interesting because of the Blueshirts' opponent. The Buffalo Sabres have lost three consecutive games heading into tonight's game and are currently sitting in last place in the league with a record of 23-39-12.

The Rangers are hoping to avoid dropping their third straight game. One player to keep an eye out for is Peter Holland who is expected to be in the lineup in the place of David Desharnais. Holland has been out of the lineup since March 10. In 20 games with the Rangers this season he's scored one goal and picked up three assists.

Alexandar Georgiev will be between the pipes tonight with Ondrej Pavelec serving as the team's backup goaltender.

The projected lineup from NHL.com:

Chris Kreider -- Mika Zibanejad -- Jesper Fast

Jimmy Vesey -- Kevin Hayes -- Mats Zuccarello

Vladislav Namestnikov -- Ryan Spooner -- Pavel Buchnevich

Cody McLeod -- Peter Holland -- Paul Carey

Marc Staal -- Neal Pionk

Brady Skjei -- Ryan Sproul

John Gilmour -- Rob O'Gara

Alexandar Georgiev

Ondrej Pavelec

Linus Ullmark will be in net for the Sabres.
