Ronning is in his last season with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL, and was drafted #201 overall in the seventh round of the 2016 NHL draft. He came in at No. 22 in Adam’s summer rankings of all Rangers prospects. Adam also wrote about the season Ronning was having back in January, and he’s since improved upon those figures.

As you can see, Ronning is toward the top of each metric, with the exception being secondary assists. In addition to that, here is a traditional chart of his production by season which includes his brief stint with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

And for those who appreciate video, here’s a brief highlight reel of Ronning.
It goes without saying to take this production with a grain of salt, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ronning more than earned his ELC. Once his WHL season is over he can join the Hartford Wolf Pack, and management will get a better sense of how he fits into the future of the organization.
