Rangers sign Marek Mazanec

Mazanec was signed by the Rangers on Dec. 5, 2017 after it became alarmingly clear that the Wolf Pack needed a change in net. After a somewhat rocky first few months in Hartford he missed about two months — from mid-January to mid-March — with an injury. In his 20 appearances with the Wolf Pack Mazanec posted a .907 save percentage and finished the season with a record of 11-6-1-1.

The former Predators’ prospect turns 27 in July. Mazanec will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2019. His contract is a one-year, two-way deal worth $650,000.
