2019 NHL Draft: Day Two Open Thread

The New York Rangers’ rebuild took a major step forward on Day 1 of the NHL Draft as they selected Finnish winger Kaapo Kakko with the second overall selection. While there was some belief that the Rangers would make some additional moves during the first round, they stood pat for the remainder of the evening. Heading into day two of the draft, the Rangers seven selections remaining are as follows:

  • 4th Round: #112
  • 5th Round: #130
  • 6th Round: #161
  • 7th Round: #205 & #216/

With several players such as Arthur Kaliyev, Bobby Brink, among many others all dropping down the board, there is potential for the Rangers to snag another highly skilled prospect. Day two is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. EDT, and you can catch all of the action on NHL Network.
